Give your students meaningful practice with the prefixes un-, re-, dis-, and mis- with this digital interactive word work activity through Google Slides. In this activity students will complete 3 rounds of 8 activities, providing them with a wide range of question types and application practice.
The 8 activities include:
Identifying the meaning of the prefix
Word sorts based on the prefix
Creating new words by adding a prefix to a base word
Multiple Choice Test prep questions
Adding a prefix to a base word when given a picture
Identifying a prefix of a given word
Complete a table matching base words, prefixes, and the newly created word
Decodable stories using circles and lines to identify words in context.
The 3 different rounds can be used to help you differentiate what your students need. Students can complete all 3 rounds in one setting, or can work on a different round each day.
This product will open as a PDF where you will see detailed instructions and access to a copy of the digital link that you will use to access the slides. A copy of the slides will appear in your Google Drive when you click ‘make a copy.’ From there, the resource can be shared in your google classroom with your students. Please be sure to read the directions carefully to ensure each of your students gets their own copy of the resource.
